Information on Static

“Graeae Theatre Company and Suspect Culture present Static by Dan Rebellato

22 April – 3 May, Soho Theatre, London
A story of love, loss and compilation tapes. A young widow discovers a compilation tape left by her husband and becomes convinced he is communicating with her from beyond the grave. This is a bitter-sweet story told through stark and concise dialogue, sign language and a rich soundtrack that takes in Sonic Youth and Nirvana picking up Elvis and The Smiths along the way. Static explores what it is to love and to lose and delves into the human need for communication and understanding.
All performances of Static are British Sign Language interpreted and audio described.

The revolutionary contemporary art exhibition, Touching Art Touching You, will be launching its multi-sensory, interactive art experience at the Museum of Modern Art, Wales.Touching Art Touching You is a fresh and unique concept on the arts landscape. The exhibition breaks through traditional hierarchies & barriers in the arts by actively encouraging all works to be explored through touch. By shifting the established rules of art appreciation from sight (look) to the sense of touch (feel) the gallery experience instantly becomes an intimate, fresh and liberating art experience.

All works in the exhibition feature audio-visual descriptive guide and large print & Braille labels, making them accessible to a diverse audience. The exhibition design considers a broad range of physical access adjustments.
